ABOUT

ME

I am passionate about empowering and supporting my students to develop awareness of their own self (physical, mental and emotional) and in so doing, cultivating a practice which honours the bespoke needs of their own body/mind.

I am also a lucky mother of 4 incredible humans, and a composer for Film and TV, occasional songstress and contributor to other musical projects.

MY LEARNING

I began practising yoga in 1999 in the Iyengar tradition and was quickly hooked by the profound effect it had on my wellbeing.

I went on to study Hatha, Vinyasa flow and latterly Ashtanga, leading ultimately to my teaching certification in Hatha Raja Yoga in 2014.

Between 2008-2012 I studied Kung Fu, Chi Kung and Meditation the latter two of which I still practice today. My understanding and experience of these disciplines are deeply integrated into my current yoga practice and classes.

I have subsequently undertaken specialist trainings in Yoga and the Neurobiology of Stress and Anxiety, and completed the Minded Addiction Recovery Kit course to support those in recovery from addiction.

In September 2021 I undertook a year long training with Gabor Maté in his therapeutic approach Compassionate Inquiry. I went on to present at his Conference In Nov 2022 on Compassionate Inquiry in an Embodied practice.
